Getting There
If you’re flying into Colorado, the closest airport is HDN, however, it’s a small regional airport with limited flight offerings. DEN is the nearest large airport.
For getting from Denver to Steamboat, aside from renting a car, consider either Bustang or Greyhound. CO West also offers shared and private shuttles from DEN to Steamboat.

Getting Around
Once you’re in Steamboat, you’ll find you have no need for a car. Downtown is very walkable, and you’ll find you can get anywhere in town on a bike or PEV rather quickly. The bike path connects many places in town and is a beautiful trail. There’s also free bus service and free on-demand rides with Yellow Zone.

- Looking for something shorter? Consider an out & back to Gold Creek Lake.
- Looking for something longer? Consider summiting Mt. Zerkel.
- Mad Creek: Hiking, 4 mi one way (8 mi total)
- Fish Creek Falls: Hiking
- First Falls, as featured on the Coors bottle, 0.5 mi (1 mi total)
- Second Falls, 2.5 mi (5 mi total)
- Long Lake, 5.5 mi (11 mi total)
- Note: Bridge at 1st falls closed until July 1st.
- Uranium Mine Trail: Hiking, 1.5 mi (3 mi total)
